CAROLINE + ANTONY
It takes a special man to play the guitar and sing to his bride-to-be, as she is walked down the aisle by her parents. Antony was that special man. These two beautiful, caring souls were married amidst a multitude of embraces and plenty of laughs and love. Congratulations Caroline and Antony!  Thanks for having me to document these special moments of your day. A MORNING WITH ESSIE & LOLLY
Working with families, in their own environment, doing their own thing, is one of the best things I've ever done.  It's pretty freakin' special when there are people in that family who have touched my heart. I always come away from family sessions thinking, "Man that family was rad!"  This family is no exception.  I mean, how cool is the nickname Lolly for your little sister.  Only a big sister/Little Mama Bear can come up with terms of endearments like these. I think, as parents, we often get bogged down with "stuff" that we forget just how rad our own families are.  I feel lucky to have these little reminders often. This is the sto ...

THEY ARE SUPER HEROES
Knocking on a the front door of a home at around 8am for a family session gets me excited. I know what I'm going to be walking in to is something real.  There is going to be messy hair, cuddles in bed, bodies strewn on couches, mouths being fed, noise and life.  These are the moments I love to document, and being trusted to do it for another photographer is something pretty special. This is a family of super heroes.  Embracing everything that is family life at this stage, and running with it with laughs and licks, hand holding and cuddles. This is their Saturday morning story. You can see their family film here. ...

PLUS BABY MAKES FOUR
Those precious hours after baby is born, also known as The Fresh 48,  are some of the most humbling hours spent as a family.   I always feel so privileged to be asked to document such a time. I love to photograph these sessions, there is a whole lot of newness and the moments are filled with ALL of the feels.  My favourite way to capture these moments are with a mix of both moving and still images, packaged all together in a film to be savoured for the family memory banks. I was so happy to finally meet this Mumma and her little troop, and it was so beautiful to watch as big brother slowly started to warm to “Baby Sister”. This is the ...

MEAGHAN + GLEN
These two! When a man asks his love to be his wife, after climbing a mountain in the freezing cold before the sun has risen, you know that they will be set for a life full of adventure together. A life full of hunting out new weekend brunch spots, a life full of chocolate milkshakes and fur babies named after childhood TV stars. I had so much fun roaming the laneways with Meaghan and Glen.  I can't wait to see them be married in a few months time.

JEROME + JUDITH
Jerome and Judith are the most kind hearted and giving souls.  They are the kind of people I am lucky to have met.  I got to hang out with them one December morning, after Aish Bomb had woken from her morning nap.  They walked me around their neighbourhood, stopped to pick up the paper and a coffee, like they would any other typical family morning. This is their story, one December Morning. See their film HERE

ANGIE + BEV
This is a a story of two, soon to be three.   A story seen the world over, but as unique as their own fingerprints. This is the story of Angie and Bev, one Wednesday afternoon in Spring 2014, a few weeks before they welcomed their son into their family.

A MORNING WITH CHARLIE
As I walked through the gates the Charlotte Roses that greeted me in the garden, were just beaten in beauty by the Charlotte Rose that lay in her cot inside. Little Charlie with her beautiful round cheeks and blue eyes, had not long started on solids, but ate them with much enthusiasm when I visited her. This is the story of Charlie and her Mum and Dad, one Saturday morning in December.  We drank cups of tea, they took me for a walk through their neighbourhood, , and then little Charlie was hungry again.  Just as she should be. You can see the family film over here. ...

A MORNING WITH MOLLY
I met Molly when she was just one week old, and she was complete with all of the newborn deliciousness you could possibly think of.  The perfect little nose, the little noises she would make, the stretches her limbs would take in the freedom her little body now has, and those long, adoring gazes she unknowingly received from her Mum and Dad.   But what gets me every time is the guzzling as she fed from her Mumma.  Such precious, precious times. It's these little moments I focus on capturing when I have my family sessions.  These little moments that tell your story of what your life was like at this time.  When you have a newborn, things ch ...

MILENA + FILIPP
One of my favourite photos is a photo of my Dad sitting against our house in the backyard as he watched a three year old me trying to walk in his big work boots.  I love that photo because so much of my young childhood was spent in that backyard, being with my family.  It was just what we did. It is this photograph that inspires me as a photographer.  It is these moments that I want to give to the families that share a tiny bit of their lives with me, in order to capture them as they are. I want the families to look back on these images in 30 years time and think "This was us.  This is what life was like". For Milena, Filipp and Atti, ...

MARISA + JONNY
I remember the day very well.   It was a sunny day in December, I was 14 years old and we had just received a phone call from one of my older brother's telling me that his baby daughter had just been born. Twenty minutes later, my sister and I arrived at the hospital to see our new niece, Marisa, having basically sprinted over three kilometers to get to the hospital! It really is a heart warming feeling to be a part of someones life right from their infancy, to watch them grow into the person that they are, and to see them start their own family. To witness my brother and sister-in-law walk their daughter down the aisle, to marry her so ...

WELCOMING FLETCHER
There is not a lot more sacred in life than welcoming another being into your family. This is the story of Grant and Katy and their sweet family welcoming Fletcher into their family. Little Fletcher was only three days new when I visited them.  His older brother and sister had welcomed him with as much love as their parents clearly shared. Within the comforting walls of their family home was a warmth, love, humility and a pure adoration for one another.  Within three days, Fletcher had settled within the family, right beside the loom bands, lego and paint brushes. I can only imagine what adventures Fletcher and his brother and sister will ...
