JEROME + JUDITH
Jerome and Judith are the most kind hearted and giving souls.  They are the kind of people I am lucky to have met.  I got to hang out with them one December morning, after Aish Bomb had woken from her morning nap.  They walked me around their neighbourhood, stopped to pick up the paper and a coffee, like they would any other typical family morning. This is their story, one December Morning. See their film HERE

ANGIE + BEV
This is a a story of two, soon to be three.   A story seen the world over, but as unique as their own fingerprints. This is the story of Angie and Bev, one Wednesday afternoon in Spring 2014, a few weeks before they welcomed their son into their family.

A MORNING WITH CHARLIE
As I walked through the gates the Charlotte Roses that greeted me in the garden, were just beaten in beauty by the Charlotte Rose that lay in her cot inside. Little Charlie with her beautiful round cheeks and blue eyes, had not long started on solids, but ate them with much enthusiasm when I visited her. This is the story of Charlie and her Mum and Dad, one Saturday morning in December.  We drank cups of tea, they took me for a walk through their neighbourhood, , and then little Charlie was hungry again.  Just as she should be. You can see the family film over here. ...

A MORNING WITH MOLLY
I met Molly when she was just one week old, and she was complete with all of the newborn deliciousness you could possibly think of.  The perfect little nose, the little noises she would make, the stretches her limbs would take in the freedom her little body now has, and those long, adoring gazes she unknowingly received from her Mum and Dad.   But what gets me every time is the guzzling as she fed from her Mumma.  Such precious, precious times. It's these little moments I focus on capturing when I have my family sessions.  These little moments that tell your story of what your life was like at this time.  When you have a newborn, things ch ...

MILENA + FILIPP
One of my favourite photos is a photo of my Dad sitting against our house in the backyard as he watched a three year old me trying to walk in his big work boots.  I love that photo because so much of my young childhood was spent in that backyard, being with my family.  It was just what we did. It is this photograph that inspires me as a photographer.  It is these moments that I want to give to the families that share a tiny bit of their lives with me, in order to capture them as they are. I want the families to look back on these images in 30 years time and think "This was us.  This is what life was like". For Milena, Filipp and Atti, ...

MARISA + JONNY
I remember the day very well.   It was a sunny day in December, I was 14 years old and we had just received a phone call from one of my older brother's telling me that his baby daughter had just been born. Twenty minutes later, my sister and I arrived at the hospital to see our new niece, Marisa, having basically sprinted over three kilometers to get to the hospital! It really is a heart warming feeling to be a part of someones life right from their infancy, to watch them grow into the person that they are, and to see them start their own family. To witness my brother and sister-in-law walk their daughter down the aisle, to marry her so ...

KRYSTAL + DANIEL
I spent the second last day of Winter with Krystal and Daniel, in short sleeves.  It did not feel like Winter.  The sun was warm, but their love was warmer. Little Pumpkin is due to arrive any day now.  She is going to be welcomed into a family with so much love.  SO. MUCH. LOVE! Seriously, these two love birds are going to make the most incredible parents. All the best Krystal and Daniel.  I cannot wait to meet your little Pumpkin. Krystal:  Can you remember when your bump is only this big??

WELCOMING FLETCHER
There is not a lot more sacred in life than welcoming another being into your family. This is the story of Grant and Katy and their sweet family welcoming Fletcher into their family. Little Fletcher was only three days new when I visited them.  His older brother and sister had welcomed him with as much love as their parents clearly shared. Within the comforting walls of their family home was a warmth, love, humility and a pure adoration for one another.  Within three days, Fletcher had settled within the family, right beside the loom bands, lego and paint brushes. I can only imagine what adventures Fletcher and his brother and sister will ...

ELLE + KRISTA
This is a story about those last few weeks of pregnancy, when you are waiting in anticipation, readying yourself for another chapter.  The last moments of when the soul that has grown inside you is close to being welcomed into the wide world. Too often are these the forgotten moments, the last moments of being a family of three, soon to be four. This is a story of a mother and daughter sharing some quiet, and not so quiet, moments together, before they become a newborn mother and a big sister.

SIMONE
I'm fairly sure that your wedding day is guaranteed to be one of the fastest days of your life.  There are so many moments throughout the day, that are too quickly forgotten.  Not because they aren't memorable or important, but because there is just so much to remember on that day, that it can't all possibly be stored. I was honoured when Simone asked me to capture the moments of her and her bridesmaids preparing her to become a wife.  A very special time of day when excitement filled the air, as much as bubbles filled the glasses. Thank you Simone.  You made me feel as if I was right there with your bridesmaids on your very important d ...

VICKI + ROB
I consider myself truly blessed to have some very special friends in my life.  Special friends who have been in my life for more than 2/3rds of it. Vicki is one of those friends.  Our friendship has had its highs and its lows, but because of those, we know that our friendship is of the true and long lasting kind. Vicki and Rob, extended their little family of four to five earlier this year.  I was so happy for them when they announced that their daughter had been born. In my very short visit to New Zealand in February, I made sure I stopped in to visit them for some cuddles with their little girl, and my special friend.  As I look th ...

HELENA + STEVIE
Seeing how families tick and get into their grooves is a wonderful thing. Helena and Stevie had really found their groove when I visited them.  Henry had been a little champ since his arrival, and this wee family were as comfortable and beautiful as can be.  Including Robbie, their adorable puppy.  When I had first met Robbie, a few months prior, he was all licks, jumps, friendly nips and deep sniffs.  But when I entered their home on this beautiful Summer's morning it was obvious that he had mellowed to suit the slow rhythm of a newborn.  He was now the big brother.  It really is amazing how some animals instinctively know when they are p ...
